Harley Katz’s research focuses on galaxy formation and cosmology. He is particularly interested in the formation of the first stars, galaxies, and black holes and the physics of the interstellar medium. He works on developing numerical methods to address these topics from a theoretical perspective and combines results from simulations with observations to elucidate the physics of galaxy formation.
